By accessing this website or engaging Glenn Crawford Painting for services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Glenn Crawford Painting
Glenn Crawford Painting provides professional painting and related services to residential, commercial and other property clients.
The information provided on this website is intended to give general information about our services and does not constitute a binding quotation or agreement to undertake work.
2. Quotes and Estimates
Any quote or estimate provided by Glenn Crawford Painting is based on the information available to us at the time of assessment.
Quotes may be subject to change where:
the scope of work changes;
additional work is requested;
previously concealed or unforeseen conditions are discovered;
additional preparation or repair work is required;
the condition of surfaces differs from what was reasonably observable;
materials, access or other project requirements change.
A quotation becomes binding only when accepted in accordance with the terms stated in that quotation.
3. Scope of Work
The work to be performed will be based on the agreed scope described in the quotation or other written agreement.
Any additional work requested after acceptance of a quotation may incur additional charges.
Where practical, additional work or variations will be discussed with the customer before the work proceeds.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing reasonable access to the property and work areas at the agreed times.
Customers should:
remove or secure valuable, fragile or personal belongings from work areas;
provide access to relevant areas of the property;
advise Glenn Crawford Painting of any known hazards or conditions that may affect the work;
ensure that any required approvals or permissions relating to the property are obtained where applicable.
Delays caused by restricted access, unavailable areas or customer-related circumstances may affect the project schedule.
5. Preparation and Existing Surfaces
Painting outcomes can depend on the condition of existing surfaces.
Glenn Crawford Painting will undertake reasonable preparation as included in the agreed scope of work. However, existing cracks, moisture, structural movement, poor previous coatings, stains, mould, damaged surfaces or other underlying issues may affect the final appearance and durability of the finished work.
Where additional preparation or repairs are required, these may be treated as additional work.
6. Colour and Finish
Customers are responsible for confirming their selected colours and finishes before work commences.
Colours displayed on screens, colour charts or digital devices may differ from the final painted appearance due to lighting, surface conditions and variations between display devices and physical paint samples.
Glenn Crawford Painting is not responsible for colour selections made by customers where the selected colour has been confirmed before application.
7. Materials
Unless otherwise agreed, Glenn Crawford Painting may select appropriate paints, primers, preparation products and other materials required to complete the agreed work.
Where a customer specifically requests particular products or materials, the customer may be responsible for any additional costs associated with those products.
8. Completion and Inspection
Upon completion of the agreed work, the customer should inspect the completed areas and notify Glenn Crawford Painting of any concerns as soon as reasonably possible.
Where a legitimate issue relates to workmanship within the agreed scope, Glenn Crawford Painting will work with the customer to determine an appropriate resolution.
9. Payment
Payment terms will be specified in the relevant quotation, invoice or written agreement.
Customers are responsible for making payments by the due date.
Late or unpaid invoices may result in additional recovery costs and/or suspension of further work until outstanding amounts are resolved.
10. Cancellations and Delays
Customers should provide reasonable notice if they need to cancel or reschedule scheduled work.
Cancellation or rescheduling may result in charges where Glenn Crawford Painting has already incurred costs, committed labour, ordered materials or allocated substantial time to the project.
Project schedules may also be affected by weather, material availability, site conditions, access, other contractors or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
11. Weather and Site Conditions
Painting work may be affected by weather and environmental conditions including rain, excessive humidity, extreme temperatures or other unsuitable conditions.
Glenn Crawford Painting may postpone or reschedule work where conditions could adversely affect the quality, safety or durability of the work.
12. Property and Access
Glenn Crawford Painting will take reasonable care while working at a customer’s property.
However, customers should remove fragile, valuable or easily damaged items from work areas before work begins.
Where furniture or other items need to be moved, responsibility for moving such items should be agreed before work commences.
13. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Glenn Crawford Painting will not be responsible for loss or damage arising from:
pre-existing defects;
structural or moisture-related problems;
concealed conditions;
defects in existing surfaces or coatings;
customer-supplied materials;
incorrect information supplied by the customer;
circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.
